Characters: Woman, Man, Third Person, Narrator/Seer, Pilot, Flight Attendants

About the Play: Somewhere on the edge of Europe, a plane crashes. On flight Nuh 71/71, three people find themselves in an indescribable place at the moment of the crash. They are unaware of each other’s presence. For a long time, they try to make sense of this undefined space they are in. Are they dead? Has time stopped? Is this the end of the world? Where are they? The trio, referred to as Woman, Man, and Third Person, are crafted to reinforce the East/West equation and the proposition of ‘neither this nor that,’ which has been extensively examined in recent years. The plane crash is a harbinger of a collapse—whether anticipated, ongoing, or impending. ‘Last World’ aims to offer an interpretation of the concept of ‘end’ based on the representations of the individuals it brings together. Is it possible for something to end? Can the world end or disappear? What does the end mean?
